Whether you experienced emotional or physical trauma in youth or later in life, the body becomes symptomatic when anxiety, panic, and psychosomatic conditions persist and depression becomes a way of life. While we think we can halt painful memories, it is hard to sustain a sense of wholeness when old hurts are left untapped. I help you meet challenging life situations with more resilient responses than the automated ways you typically default to.  My objective is for you to learn a more appreciative understanding of your life story, the forces that shaped you, and how you might embrace more compassionate, healthy choices going forward.

My specialization in this area is inspired by Somatic Experiencing Therapy which actively integrates the body and memories as key informants for negotiating developmental trauma, from long ago, or more recent events that remain unresolved.
